Sunday 10th May
Mother’s Day is one of those occasions that you often find yourself stuck for gift ideas. I mean, how do you possibly say thank you to the special lady in your life that is your Mum or has filled the shoes of your Mum. She has been there to teach us, listen to us, comfort us and show us how wonderful the world can be. Such selfless creatures, Mums deserve the world, yet want nothing in return for this wisdom, love and affection. Well Mother’s Day, Sunday 10th May, is fast approaching, and we’ve been thinking about all the different ways we can give back to this special lady in our lives.
Here are our top 5 helpful gift ideas on how to best spoil her!
1. The Sweet Tooth
Forget the last minute dash to the supermarket for the usual box of choccies, Artisan du Chocolat salted caramels in milk or dark chocolate are a beautiful and decadent treat for mum. Originally invented for Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in the UK, the caramels have a sweet liquid centre, a pinch of grey salt, all encapsulated in a cocoa dusted shell. They are a beautiful gift idea and will just add that sweet touch to a gift hamper or are beautifully packaged and presented as they are.
2. Domestic Goddess
If you’re mum is the ultimate gourmet goddess, loves to cook, bake and just be in the kitchen, then add a little gourmet goodness to her pantry. The girls at the shop are happy to assist you with putting together the perfect gift hamper filled with specialty products from our vast range in the providore. Try our La Tourangelle nut oils – a beautiful product from France that give you a point of difference in your cooking or kitchen creations. Our gift hampers can be custom made to suit or choose from our range ready to go!
3. Shower her with flowers
Our gorgeous range of flowers, starting from $25.00, are beautifully presented and will be fresh on Saturday and Sunday morning so you can easily pop through and pick up a special bunch on your way out for breakfast! It’s as easy as that.
4. High Tea Time
Our generous and decadent range of individual serve cakes are the perfect option for afternoon tea with Mum. From small petit four size treats to individual serve cakes there is something for everyone – carrot cake, curd tarts, caramel tarts, fresh vanilla or chocolate cupcakes, gluten free options, to name just a few. Try our most popular cake, the Glamington, a deliciously light vanilla cake with layers of beautiful Valrhona chocolate, making for a decadent treat. Team with a beautiful cup of English Breakfast tea from our Henry Langdon range of loose leaf tea tins. Wrap it all up and spend an afternoon sharing some special time with Mum. Pre-orders for cakes and hampers are welcome.
5. Picnic in the Park
A perfect way to spend quality family time is a picnic in the park or on the beach. Just a simple, fun day out, chatting and enjoying the company of loved ones, that doesn’t cost you the earth. Our generous picnic hampers are designed for two people to share, but can be customised to suit more. They are packed with locally sourced, hand-made picnicking delights and come complete with disposable cutlery, packed into our BT hamper bag. All you need to do is grab a bottle of bubbles, and soak up a sunny afternoon, hanging out with the people you love the most.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, MUMS!
