Mild, stinky or strong, we’ll take goats’ cheese any way we can get it, which is why we’re currently coveting the range from Meredith Dairy.
Goats cheese, or chevre as it’s otherwise known, can be a divisive cheese but here at The Black Truffle, we’re definitely big fans.
With warmer weather on the horizon, we’re tossing it through salads, adding it through tarts and frittatas, stirring it through fettuccini with fresh in-season kale, and piling it onto home-made pizza.
If you’re inspired to do the same, you won’t go wrong with the range from Meredith Dairy.
Including an original chevre, one with fresh dill and another with fresh chives and garlic, the range is creamy and spreadable with a fresh, sharp flavor.
Located in Victoria’s Golden Plains, Meredith Dairy is a family-run business specialising in handmade goats’ milk cheese and yoghurt. The family sources its milk from their own property using renewable energy and sustainable farming methods.
The Meredith Dairy range of goats’ cheese retails for $6.95 each.
